SouthRidge Lodge
The Southridge Lodge is nearly the highest point in Sherman County. From Southridge Lodge you can see nearly 50 miles in every direction except for the quarter mile shelterbelt on the North Side. The well water from a new well, recently tested, is excellent. The Lodge has just been totally renovated featuring a natural gas furnace and central air, a natural gas fire place in the 15X30 living area with 9 foot ceilings. The Lodge also has a large wood burner in the basement connected to central furnace ductwork. In the unlikely event the electricity should go out, a 14 thousand-watt electric generator is attached in the 30X36 foot attached garage. The Kearney golf coarse it is 25 miles to the section we call Southridge. (Kearney is one of the three cities in the Tri-city area of Nebraska). The Lodge is 8 miles to the Loup City Municipal Airport, just across the Highway from the Loup City golf coarse. Loup City is the home of Sherman Lake featuring a 65-mile shoreline.
